The Write-On app is a restaurant tableside ordering and mobile payment solution used in conjunction with the Restaurant Manager Point of Sale system. Use the Write-On in Training Mode to see it in action.

ASI’s Write-On increases revenue with faster ordering processing: large menus can be easily navigated using abbreviations along with other text messaging techniques to take orders right at the table. Taking and sending orders tableside eliminates the need for employees to re-enter the order at a fixed POS. This increases server time on the floor where they can better serve the guest and increase sales.

Orders processed tableside prevents overloading kitchens and bars typical of a fixed POS when multiple orders are sent simultaneously. Reduce errors and increase up selling opportunities: forced modifiers, customizable prompts, and real time access to 86’d item information reduce the need for comps and increases suggestive selling and average checks. Cut labor costs by reducing server training time: employees will easily master the Write-On interface using techniques similar to text messages like “LOL” (laugh out loud).

How does it work:
Using the Keyboard mode, the Write-On app abbreviates menu items using the first letter of every word of the menu item. For instance, if a menu includes Shrimp Cocktail and Filet Mignon, servers simply type “SC” or "FM" to order these items. Employees can also use the traditional drill-down ordering method in Groups mode.
